Congratulations to everyone who rehearsed show 2 last night. You were all so beautiful, and we can't wait to see the performances this weekend! Here are a few reminders and updates for this week.
1. Show Day Arrival Time, Saturday and Sunday
All dancers and dance moms need to be backstage at Chesapeake Arts Center by noon for each show. It is fine for moms of young dancers to wait with their children backstage, help them dress and prepare hair and makeup, but must take their seats prior to the show. Hair pieces and costumes that are firmly fixed make the dancer much more comfortable, so all of the dancers really appreciate your help.
The theater doesn't open until 1:30. No one may be seated before 1:30 except for elderly or disabled early arrivals, who may be seated when they arrive. We cannot, however, open doors for anyone else until 1:30 as the technical crew will be making final adjustments until then. Your vehicles may be the most comfortable waiting area, as there is no seating in the lobby of the center. And, this might be a good time to carpool among families to accommodate those who need to arrive early.
We know you will enjoy the show; the dancers are beautiful on stage and the facility is beautiful; there are no blocked seats! It is theater temperature for the performers, so if you have a tendency to feel chilled, you might wish to bring a sweater or wrap.
2.Dancer Bouquets
This year we partnered with Little House of Flowers to provide congratulatory bouquets for sale. If you wish to purchase bouquets, we recommend that you preorder them at the Studio 180 Online Store (click here) as there will be only a limited number of bouquets available at the door.
3. Photographs by Wonsaponatime
The photographer has extended the option to purchase photos and DVDs
on his site until the 23rd. Please remember there can be no flash photography during the shows. It is extremely dangerous for your dancers.
4. Show DVDs
EverClear will film both shows and have DVDs available for prepurchase. You may pick up a form to at rehearsal, at the studio or at the shows.
5. Tickets
Tickets for both shows are going fast, so remember to purchase them in advance for the price of $15 either on Thursday from 4-8pm at the studio or at dress Rehearsal on Friday at the Chesapeake Arts Center. They will be $20 at the door.
6. Studio gear
Again this year we will offer studio gear for sale in the lobby before each show. The gear includes Studio 180 teeshirts, sweatpants, off the shoulder shirts, shorts, hats, duffle bags. Watch for new designs!
Just two more rehearsals and it's show time! Thursday's rehearsal is for specific groups who have been notified and Friday is for Show 1. See you on the dance floor.
